Coach of the Year 2024
Eastern Thunder FC is proud that Coach Amos Boon has been awarded the Women’s National League 2024 Coach of the Year – a significant milestone in our club’s official debut season.
In receiving the award, Coach Amos shared:
“I am humbly honored to be the recipient of this award in our official year as Eastern Thunder FC. A big thank you for the vote of confidence from my peers in the fraternity.
As a reignited club of humble beginnings, we have managed to create a holistic club culture from our Academy to Men’s and Women’s teams. The academy will no doubt one day be the pathway for our adult teams.
This award belongs to every single one of the ladies at the club (not just the WNL registered ladies) who have been contributing their time and efforts over the past year. I am so proud of their commitment, dedication, and respect for one another.
Secondly, the officials behind the scenes who have contributed with the trainings and games – Elly, Dhzul, Raul, Ningxuan, and Karen – have been committed and professional throughout.
And not forgetting our sponsors – Pokka, C2+, ZMC, Spectre Time, Petrobulk, Loomis Sayles, iZA, Starbalm, and KING – who believed in a newly started club like ours, fueling our ambitions and dreams.
As a club we have grown so much in a short span of time. I am excited to be part of this journey to help the club oversee player and coaches development, achieve milestones, and chart its footprint in Singapore football.”

Player of the Year & Golden Glove Winner 2024
Eastern Thunder FC proudly celebrates Nur Izyan, who made history at the Women’s National League 2024 Awards Night by winning both the Player of the Year and Golden Glove awards — a rare and remarkable achievement.
In “A Minute with Nur Izyan”, she shared:
“Receiving the Golden Glove award was already a surprise to me, let alone Player of the Year.
It really put into perspective all the hard work and training with the team.
We gave all that we had, which led to this moment.I am extremely grateful for the experiences I’ve had, on pitch or off pitch. It was really a collective team effort that allowed me to humbly receive these two awards. But these titles are not to be borne by me alone. Credit is due to every single teammate and coach that helped me grow.
Here’s to Eastern Thunder!”

From pre-season preparations to the final whistle of the campaign, the team demonstrated resilience, unity, and an unwavering competitive spirit. Every match showcased the heart, discipline, and camaraderie that define Eastern Thunder FC’s ethos.
This milestone reflects not just the talent on the field, but also the tireless work behind the scenes — from coaches and support staff to the families and fans who stood by the team week after week.
We are especially proud of the collective growth shown across the squad, with many players stepping into leadership roles and rising to the challenges of top-tier amateur competition. The foundation laid this year sets the stage for even greater achievements ahead.
