Eastern Thunder 12’s Shine at SCC Soccer 7’s Tournament

4–6 April 2024 | Padang | Boys Under 12

It was a weekend of fast-paced football, unforgettable moments, and incredible teamwork as Thunder 12’s took to the field at the prestigious SCC Soccer 7’s tournament, held at the iconic Padang from 4th to 6th April 2024.

Competing in the Boys Under 12 category, the Thunder boys were determined to make their mark — and they did just that. After a tough group stage filled with thrilling challenges, they advanced into the Plate division, showcasing grit and heart that belied their years.

In the Plate Semi-Final, Thunder 12’s faced a strong team from The Hut. With precise passing, disciplined defending, and a clinical finish when it mattered most, our boys edged out their opponents to book their spot in the Plate Final.

Their final challenge came in the form of AFA Dunearn, a team known for their disciplined play and sharp attack. Thunder 12’s fought valiantly in a tightly contested match. The only goal of the game came from AFA Dunearn, ending the match 0–1, but it was a game where every player on the Thunder squad left everything on the field.

While they didn’t lift the Plate trophy, the Thunder 12’s walked away with something just as valuable — experience, camaraderie, and the pride of representing Eastern Thunder with determination and honour. Their performance is a reflection of the hard work they’ve put in and the bright future ahead of them.

We also extend our appreciation to Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) for organising a fantastic event that brought together youth football teams from across the region in a spirit of sportsmanship and celebration.
