Eastern Thunder FC Men Finish as Plate Runners-Up at SCC Soccer 7’s 2025

Eastern Thunder FC’s Men’s Team delivered an inspiring performance at this year’s SCC Soccer 7’s, advancing all the way to the Plate Final in the prestigious Men’s Open category.

Competing against top local and international teams at the iconic Padang, our men battled through a challenging group stage and knockout rounds to secure their place in the Plate Final. In a hard-fought match against tournament regulars SCC SFL, Eastern Thunder showed grit and heart but narrowly missed out on the title, falling 0–1 in a tightly contested final.

A Proud Moment for the Squad

Despite the narrow defeat, the campaign was a strong showcase of Eastern Thunder’s growth, resilience, and team spirit. The squad demonstrated sharp technical play, defensive discipline, and moments of brilliance throughout the tournament, earning respect from fans and opponents alike.

“This result shows how far we’ve come,” said the coaching team. “We’re proud of the effort the boys put in—every match was played with heart. Reaching the Plate Final is no small feat, and this experience will only make us stronger moving forward.”
